Socor Construction Corporation was incorporated in 1983 by the major stockholders or owners of Kimwa Construction and Dev. Corp. (KCDC) and F.T. Sanchez Construction (FTSC). Kimwa was a well-established firm engaging in the supply of concrete mix and aggregates, while FTSC was a firm with expertise in horizontal construction. The two joined forces to develop a team with broad but quality expertise in an increasingly competitive industry.
Emboldened with its early success in Visayas, Socor expanded nationwide into the regions of Luzon and Mindanao. It selected strategic locations neighboring major hubs such as Metro Manila, Tacloban & Cagayan de Oro for its branches in Taytay, Santa Fe & Lapasan. In addition, Socor partnered with foreign firms in developing nations like Papua New Guinea to further develop its international growth.
Socor secured its Triple A status through the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) soon after its formation. Followed by its first ISO 9001 Certification in Construction Engineering Services and Batching Plant Operations in the decades that followed. It continues to provide resources to its team members aspiring for higher education and licensure.
